DB2 - Problem description
Problem IC62856 | Status: Closed |
REMOVE PASSWORD LIMIT FOR DB2 LUW INSTALLER
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 950 - DB2
Problem description: | |
Starting from V9.5 Fixpak 4 and V9.7 GA, the length limit of passwords was increased to the limit of the operating systems. This has been updated in the DB2 Information Center. However, this change has not been implemented in the DB2 Installer. Thus, the old length limit on the passwords is still enforced, which is 8 characters on Unix/Linux and 14 characters on Windows.
