If an instance owner user executes db2ckupgrade directly from the CD image the following error occurs: $ db2/hpipf/utilities/db2ckupgrade/bin/db2ckupgrade /usr/lib/hpux64/dld.so: Unable to find library 'libdb2locale.so'. db2/hpipf/utilities/db2ckupgrade/bin/db2ckupgrade[22]: 28371Killed /usr/lib/hpux64/dld.so: Unable to find library 'libdb2locale.so'. db2/hpipf/utilities/db2ckupgrade/bin/db2ckupgrade[23]: 28372 Killed DBI1055E The message file db2install.cat cannot be found. Explanation: The message file required by the instance commands is missing from the system; it may have been deleted or the database products may not be installed properly. User response: Verify that the product option containing the message file is installed correctly. If there are verification errors, reinstall the product option. | |
