DB2CKUPGRADE FAILS WHEN EXECUTED FROM THE CD IMAGE |

| Problem description: |
If an instance owner user executes db2ckupgrade directly from
the CD image the following error occurs:
$ db2/hpipf/utilities/db2ckupgrade/bin/db2ckupgrade
/usr/lib/hpux64/dld.so: Unable to find library
'libdb2locale.so'.
db2/hpipf/utilities/db2ckupgrade/bin/db2ckupgrade[22]:

db2/hpipf/utilities/db2ckupgrade/bin/db2ckupgrade[23]: 28372

DBI1055E The message file db2install.cat cannot be found.
Explanation:
The message file required by the instance commands is missing
from the
system; it may have been deleted or the database products may
not be
installed properly.
User response:
Verify that the product option containing the message file is
installed
correctly. If there are verification errors, reinstall the
product
option. |

Change to the DIRIMG/db2/hpipf/install directory where DIRIMG
is the location where you uncompressed the DB2 Version 9.7
installation image or the directory where you mounted the DB2
product DVD.
Run the db2ckupgrade command, as follows:
