| Problem description: |
When you attempt to upgrade a DB2 V9.7 instance to DB2 V9.8
db2iupgrade might fail with the following error:
#/opt/IBM/db2/V9.8/instance/db2iupgrade -d -k db2inst1
DB2 installation is being initialized.
A major error occurred during the execution that caused this
program to
terminate prematurely. If the problem persists, contact your
technical service
representative.

"/tmp/db2iupgrade.log.1769620".
