DB2_DEINSTALL IS NOT REMOVING 'V' ENTRIES WITH DB2SYSTEM AND DB2FCMCOMM FROM GLOBAL REGISTRY
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description: | |
db2_deinstall is not removing 'V' entries with DB2SYSTEM and DB2FCMCOMM from global registry Reproduction Steps: 1. Install DB2 ESE binaries using db2_install at PATH1 2. Now <PAPTH1>bin/db2greg -dump will have entries with S and V record. 3. Now try to deinstall and ideally it should remove all entries which are added to global registry, but it is not removing V records with DB2SYSTEM and DB2FCMCOMM from global registry as shown below /db2greg -dump | grep -i full V,DB2GPRF,DB2SYSTEM,inst390a,/opt/full, V,DB2GPRF,DB2FCMCOMM,TCPIP4,/opt/full, S,DB2,9.7.0.8,/opt/full,,,8,0,,1361438274,0 /db2_deinstall -a -l /tmp/deinstall.log -t /tmp/deinstall.trc DBI1016I Program db2_deinstall is performing uninstallation. The execution completed successfully. For more information see the DB2 uninstallation log at "/tmp/deinstall.log". /db2greg -dump | grep -i full V,DB2GPRF,DB2SYSTEM,inst390a,/opt/full, V,DB2GPRF,DB2FCMCOMM,TCPIP4,/opt/full,
