DB2 - Problem description
Problem IC95833 | Status: Closed |
ABP DAEMON (DB2TASKD EDU) STOPPED AND NOT RESTARTED IN DPF MODE AFTER A NON-CATALOG PARTITION IS FORCED AND RESTARTED
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description: | |
Due to a rare timing issue, ABP Daemon, db2taskd EDU on catalog database partition, can exit and not restart. The problem occurs when running DB2 with the Database Partition Feature (DPF mode) after a non-catalog database partition is forced (or crashes) and is then restarted. This incident is not logged in db2daig.log, but db2pd -edu on catalog database partition would show there is no db2taskd EDU running. And the formatted output of "db2pd -apd dump all" would show m_daemonStarted = false m_daemonEDU = 0 This incident would prevent DB2 to run further async jobs, e.g. clean up a detached data partition.
