DYNAMIC STATEMENT NOT FOUND IN STATEMENT CACHE AND RECOMPILED UNNECESSARILY RESULTING IN POOR RUN TIME PERFORMANCE
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description: | |
Under certain circumstances a dynamic SQL statement may be re-compiled even though there exists a matching entry in the statement cache. This may happen if all the following are true: 1. The SQL statement references one or more inlined SQL function 2. The inlined SQL function also references one or more inlined SQL functions, i.e. nested inlined SQL functions 3. The user invoking the SQL statement does not hold DATAACCESS authority 4. The user invoking the SQL statement does not hold EXECUTE privilege on one or more of the nested inlined SQL functions Even if all the above are true, the complexity of the SQL statement determines if the problem occurs.
