  • Decision making in seconds based on transaction data.
  • Informix Advanced Editions enables to build extremely fast data warehouse applications.

Scope and functions
  • Corresponds to the Informix Workgroup Edition and also includes the Informix Warehouse Accelerator (IWA) as a warehouse component.
  • For direct access to data warehouse applications, the Advanced Workgroup editions include IBM Cognos Business Intelligence licensing with 5 authorized users.
  • The edition is limited to 16 CPU cores and 16 GB memory for the Workgroup Edition and 1,600 PVU and 48 GB memory for the Warehouse Accelerator.
  • The Storage Optimization feature is not available.
Licensing
  • IBM Processor Value Units (PVU), licensing of processor cores, calculation depends on processor performance.
  • The Informix Advanced Editions are based on two installations: the OLTP Workgroup or Enterprise installation and the installation of the Informix Warehouse Accelerator for in-memory data processing.
