DB2 - Problem description

Problem IT33429 Status: Closed

SQL1598N MIGHT BE RAISED IF A LICENSE WAS NOT APPLIED BEFORE SIMULTANEOUS
ATTEMPTS TO CONNECT THROUGH THE DATA SERVER DRIVER

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / B50 - DB2
Problem description:
When many applications (approximately 20) connect to the main
Db2 server through the Data Server Driver on Microsoft Windows
operating systems before a license was applied for the first
time, a trial license may be applied multiple times due to a
possible synchronization error which may trigger a "SQL1598N An
attempt to connect to the database server failed because of a
licensing problem" error to some of those applications.

This should not be the case because trial licenses should be
applied only once. The other applications should not need to
apply this license.
