Db2 Administrative Task Scheduler stops executing scheduled tasks

| Problem description: |
Db2 ATS ("administrative task scheduler") might stop executing
scheduled task after running ADMIN_TASK_UPDATE routine under
specific timing conditions.
SYSTOOLS.ADMINTASKSTATUS administrative view report no new
execution entries as the result. A backtrace from db2acd process
(its process ID is reported e.g. in "db2pd -edus") will show one
thread with db2HmonAtsPollDatabase on the stack waiting in
AtsList::lockIt -> ossLockGetConflict
ossLockGetConflict
AtsList::lockIt
AtsDaemon::removeTaskFromPending
AtsDbInfo::refreshTasks
db2HmonAtsPollDatabase
and another in a stack with AtsTask::lockIt ->

Backtrace can be obtained using OS tools (e.g. gstack on Linux
or procstack on AIX). |
