Problem IT35165 | Status: Closed |
DB_MIGRATE ISSUE WITH INTERNAL FORMAT WHEN INPUT STRING AFTER CODEPAGE CONVERSION EXCEED THE TARGET COLUMN SIZE.
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / B50 - DB2
Problem description: | |
Addresses the following issues: 1. larger varchar/varbinary size from NZ which is not accommodated in Db2 varchar size limit need to be migrated in clob/blob datatype. 2. Input string after codepage conversion exceeds target column size is getting uploaded truncated without any error message thrown. Ideally it should report an error and process should abort for user to take necessary action. 3. with Codeunit32 character enforcement is not done. a large number of character's are getting loaded than the expected number of characters in Codeunit32 columns.
