BOOLEAN DATA TYPE GETS TRANSLATED AS SHORT-TEXT IN MS-ACCESS VIAODBC

| Problem description: |
When using multiple types of databases connected via ODBC in
MS-Access,
all the connections reference to tables with a Boolean data
type,
but when looking at the "translation" of the linked table coming
from Db2
the data type Boolean is translated to Text instead of a Numeric
or even better a Boolean counter type. |
