DB2 - Problem description
Problem IT35486 | Status: Closed |
DB2 ABORTS WITH VARIOUS SYMPTOMS WHEN USING JSON FUNCTIONS - EG.JSON_TO_BSON AND BSON_TO_JSON - IN A DPF ENVIRONMENT.
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / B50 - DB2
Problem description: | |
In a DPF environment, work areas associated with JSON processing are incorrectly not freed at the end of statement execution on remote partitions (i.e. other than coordinator partition). Subsequent reuse of cached SQL section copies by other applications can result in a wide variety of symptoms (traps, memory corruption, errors). Traps may show the DB2 JSON function sqlriJsonCtorInitWA but many/most will not. It should be assumed that any DPF environment where json functions are used - including but not limited to json_to_bson, bson_to_json - will experience various and severe symptoms caused by this bug.
