DB2 - Problem description

Problem IT36654 Status: Closed

LARGE LOAD WITH LARGE AMOUNT OF LOB (> ~2-5 GB) DATA, AFTER LOADCOPY IMAGE
FILE REPLAYED/PROCESSED, LEAD TO DATA CORRUPTION

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / B50 - DB2
Problem description:
Running with large number of LOADs with large amount of LOB
data(about or more than 2-5 GB), then in a HADR standby (or
analogous rollforward scenario), after the load copy image file
is replayed/processed, some LOBA page may be written into wrong
location in the tablespace, thus leading to data corruption.
"large amount" is typically a few GBs, but unfortunately we
cannot describe it more precisely, as it depends on tablespace
extent size, and also whether we have lots of smaller LOBs vs
fewer number of larger LOBs.
