TEXT SEARCH UPGRADE FROM 11.1 TO 11.5.5.1 DOES NOT UPDATE SYSIBMTS.SYSTSDEFAULTS

| Problem description: |
After upgrading instance and database using Text Search Extender
following the process described here:
https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/db2/11.5?topic=search-upgrading-db2-
text-administrator-root-installation
The version for Text Search system catalog was not updated and
left in version 11.1:
db2 "select * from sysibmts.systsdefaults where name =
'VERSION'"
NAME VALUE TYPE

The process to upgrade is correct:
/products/DB2/DB211.5.5.1/db2tss/bin/configTool
upgradeConfigFolder -sourceConfigFolder
"/products/DB2/DB211.5.5.1/cfg/db2tss/config"
-targetConfigFolder "/home/db2inst1/sqllib/db2tss/config"
/products/DB2/DB211.5.5.1/instance/db2iupgrade db2inst1
./bkuptscfg.sh db2inst1
db2 UPGRADE DATABASE TXTDB
The configuration file in db2tss/config are correct:
./configTool printAll
Build version = 5.5.4.0
Build number = 6240
Build timestamp = 2020/04/24 10:14:34.704
Jar manifest version = 5.5.4.0, 6240, 2020/04/24 10:13:26.605
Source trunk name = 2.1
Operating system name = Linux
Operating system architecture (JVM) = amd64
Operating system version = 3.10.0-1160.31.1.el7.x86_64
But the Text search catalog tables are incorrect.
There is no impact on usability and Text Search can be used
normally. |
