DB2 - Problem description
Problem IT38955 | Status: Closed |
WRONG RESULTS FROM SELECT COUNT QUERY ON "ORGANIZE BY COLUMN" TABLE
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / B10 - DB2
Problem description: | |
Inconsistent results are possible when SELECT COUNT query is executed on "ORGANIZE BY COLUMN" table. The issue is happening due to internal dictionary and encoding optimizations. Query has to have an equality predicate. Example: select count(*) from t1 where myint=563422 The issue does not happen if the predicate is changed to use "like" or an arithmetic operation: select count(*) from t1 where myint like '563422%' select count(*) from t1 where (myint*2) = 1126844
