DB2 - Problem description

Problem IT41276 Status: Closed

SUSTAINED TRAP ON HADR STANDBY BLOCKS REPLAY-ONLY WINDOW

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / B50 - DB2
Problem description:
This problem only occurs on HADR standby database with the
Reads On Standby (ROS) feature enabled.

When the standby database replays a DDL or maintenance
operation that requires a replay-only window, it needs to force
off all ROS connections. This step can be blocked when there
is suspended EDU due to a previous trap that can be sustained.
The log replay on the standby will be blocked.

Below is an example of the stack dump of the db2redom EDU
that encounters this problem:

After encountering this problem, the only way to resolve is to
recycle the standby instance.
