MEMORY LEAK IN LGR MEMORY POOL ON SECONDARY SERVERS WHEN PROCESSING LARGE LOG RECORDS
product: | |
INFORMIX SERVER / 5725A3900 / E10 -
Problem description: | |
On secondary servers the size of the LGR memory pool may continue to grow if log records are processed that are close to the size of the logical log buffer as defined by the onconfig parameter LOGBUFF. An example log record type is BTSHUFFL and many of these records may be created when compressing an index on a large table. This problem may impact all servers when processing large logical log records as part of fast recovery. However the LGR memory pool is released on completion of fast recovery so all of the lost memory should be reclaimed.
