Informix - Problem description

Problem IT32066 Status: Closed

MULTI TABLE QUERY USING INNER AND LEFT USES A WRONG PATH RESULTING IN POOR
PERFORMANCE

product:
INFORMIX SERVER / 5725A3900 / B70 - IDS 11.70
Problem description:
After upgrading correctly from 11.70.FC8 to 11.70.FC9 the
customer noticed that a certain query was now performing very
badly.

The sqexplain.out showed a very huge estimate and the order of
tables has changed when compared to the previous version.

The fix for APAR IT06403 looks to be the reason for the change
in behaviour.
