RA_Q_LIST MUTEX CONTENTION AND HOT READAHEAD SPIN LOCK WHEN THERE ARE MANY READAHEAD THREADS

| Problem description: |
With more readahead threads being spawned, there's a chance for
seeing mutex waiting on RA_Q_List mutex (onstat -g ath, -g lmx,
-g wmx) as well as hightened spin-locking activity on "cond
lock, name = ReadAhead" spin lock (onstat -g spi).
As a result, you'd see increased cpu consumption and also
queries (submiting RA requests) being slowed down. |
