Informix - Problem description
Problem IT34041 | Status: Closed |
908 / 27001 WHEN CONNECTING TO SLA GROUP THAT PREVIOUSLY CHANGEDFROM AN INVALID SQLHOST ENTRY TO A VALID GROUP ENTRY
product: | |
INFORMIX SERVER / 5725A3900 / C10 - IDS 12.10
Problem description: | |
Opened to support SLA lookup by NSF instead of name. If two SLA's have the same host name and port number, we will treat them as the same. If you have an invalid entry in a Server SQLHOSTS file such as: x1 onsoctcp apollo11 19900 where x1 is not a valid SLA or DBSERVERNAME and there is nothing listening on port 19900. The following SQL will return a -908 / -27001 as it should: SELECT COUNT(*) FROM sysutils@x1:systables If you then change that entry to be a valid group for an SLA such as: x1 group - - i=1,e=lx1 lx1 onsoctcp *apollo11 19100 g=x1 The SQL (SELECT COUNT(*) FROM sysutils@x1:systables) will still return a -908 / -27001. The problem will continue to happen until the server is bounced.
