Informix - Problem description

Problem IT34254 Status: Closed

QUERIES AGAINST SYSMASTER TABLES SYSCMSMTAB AND SYSCMSMUNIT CAN ASSERT
WITH STACK IN PRCMSMUNIT

product:
INFORMIX SERVER / 5725A3900 / C10 - IDS 12.10
Problem description:
The following was reported and later reproduced running
12.10.FC11 on linux x86-64 but this is probably
not a platform specific problem.

The connection manager will run queries like:⠨⠨SELECT
cm.name, cluster.flag, upper(cluster.foc) FROM syscmsmtab as cm,
    syscmsmunit as cluster WHERE cm.sid = cluster.sid AND
    BITAND(cluster.flag, 256) = 0 ORDER BY cm.sid;

When the connection manager or a regular user is running such a
query it is possible for the IDS
server to assert fail with a stack like below when the
syscmsmtab and syscmsmunit tables are modified
via operations like reloading the cm config files.
