Problem IC63177 Status: Geschlossen

PACKAGE CACHE PERFORMANCE DEGRADES WHEN STATEMENT CONCENTRATOR TURNED ON

Produkt:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problembeschreibung:
When using the statement concentrator feature (most typically
with the database config parm STMT_CONC=LITERALS), performance
can degrade.

Some symptoms may include "Package Cache Overflow" messages in
the db2diag.log.
db2pd -db <dbname> -dynamic will also show an increasing number
of statement entries and a decreasing number of variation
entries in the dynamic SQL cache.

The performance degradation may be cyclic as periodically extra
statement entries in the cache are removed.
