DB2 - Problembeschreibung

Problem IC63467 Status: Geschlossen

THE JAVA JIT CRASHES DURING ITMA V6 INSTALL OF THE DB2 9.5 INSTALL
ONTO POWER7.

Produkt:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problembeschreibung:
The Java JIT crashes on POWER7 machines during the install of
ITMA bundled with DB2 9.5. The reason for this is because the
install script unpacks the JRE and then invokes the license
agreement and a Java class to handle the remainder of the
installation.

The reason for the crash is that JRE 1.5.0 SR7 and below do not
support POWER7. JRE 1.5.0 SR5 is shipped with ITMA.
