Local-Fix: | |
- Prior to installing DB2: Remove the 'ITMA' subdirectory from the DB2 image. DB2 will detect that ITMA is not present, and not install it. This is a supported scenario -- no errors will be raised during installation. - Prior to installing DB2: For the silent install only, set the response file keyword INSTALL_ITMA to "NO". - After installing DB2: Uninstall ITMA. Selective uninstall of ITMA is documented in the Information Center here: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/db2luw/v9r7/index.jsp?t opic=/com.ibm.db2.luw.qb.server.doc/doc/t0054822.html

Problem was first fixed in Version 9.5 Fix Pack 7. Starting with FP7, new installs of DB2 will no longer install ITMA, so the problem will not be encountered.
