Problem IC76563 Status: Geschlossen

CORE DUMP IF PARAMETER1 OF DB2SE SPATIAL CLP > 200 BYTES

Produkt:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problembeschreibung:
This problem occurred when a customer enclosed all the
parameters of the db2se spatial CLP in double-quotes, passing
them all as argv[1] to the application. This exceeded the space
of the work area they were copied into and resulted in a core
dump on AIX.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
* Enclosing all of the parameters to the spatial 'db2se' *
* command may result in a core dump or other operating system *
* detection of memory corruption. *
* For example:                                                 *
*                                                              *
* db2se "import_shape mydb <lots of parameters>"               *
*                                                              *
* where the string between the double-quotes is more than 200 *
* bytes long.                                                  *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
* Don't enclose all the parameters in double-quote characters. *
