DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2

When Admin_move_table is run with COPY option for a 
compressed enabled table, the performance of this 
admin_move_table application is very slow. 
Here is an exmaple of the command: 
call 
SYSPROC.ADMIN_MOVE_TABLE('SAPR3','VBFA','','','','','','','','CO 
PY_WITH_INDEXES','COPY') 
Performance issue is encountered when table compression is 
enabled and a COPY is performed. 
Following things occur for this: 
- a table has compression enabled 
- a Bernoulli sampling of the data from the source table is 
inserted into the target table 
- the compression dictionary is then created based of this 
random sample using db2Inspect

The Bernoulli sampling is very slow here causing the performance 
problem of the application. 
 
This APAR will replace TABLESAMPLE BERNOULLI with TABLESAMPLE 
SYSTEM to improve the performance and hence the performance of 
the ADMIN_MOVE_TABLE is improved.
