DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2

The problem may occur if the seed arm of UNION ALL has a typed 
parameter marker and the iterative arm has a specific literal 
value. 
 
Here is the example of the query: 
 
WITH CTE1 (TEST_VAR) 
AS 
( 
SELECT CAST( ? AS CHAR(2)) 
FROM Table (values (1)) 
UNION ALL 
SELECT CAST( 'ab' AS CHAR(2)) 
FROM CTE1 T1 
WHERE T1.TEST_VAR = ?) SELECT * from CTE1 ;

Use literal values or typed parameter markers for both arms of 
UNION ALL.
