PERFORMING DB2 BRUTE FORCE UNINSTALLATION DAMAGES GSK 7(IF INSTALLED).
Produkt: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A10 - DB2
Problembeschreibung:
Brute force option is supposed to be used when one doesn't want uninstaller to keep tracking of reference count to related sub-products. By the default, 8 version of Global Security Kit(GSK) is used by DB2 9.7, it's one of DB2 sub-products. However GSK version 7 can be installed as separated product or can come in a bunch of another product with no relation to DB2. Uninstaller will delete its registry keys, which causes irreversible damage to GSK version 7. Cause of that behavior lies in db2NewRegHKLM.txt file, which is used in phase of registry clean-up, it contains keys to be deleted. Wrong GSK version was saved in the file.
