Problem IC95442 Status: Geschlossen

SET ECHO OFF command doesn't disable the display of commands and their
output

Produkt:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A50 - DB2
Problembeschreibung:
The command SET ECHO OFF doesn't disables the display of
commands and their output as expected.

For example, the following code on Linux :

"  ========
#!/bin/ksh
DB_HOST=localhost
DB_LSNRPORT=50000
DB_NAME=AEIOU
DB_USER=db2inst1
DB_PWD=123
RUNDATE=`date +%Y%m%d`
FULLDATE=`date`
CLPPLUS="$HOME/dsdriver/bin/clpplus"
if [ ! -f $CLPPLUS ] ; then
   print "ERROR: cannot find a CLPPlus utility at
CLPPLUS\n\tPlease make sure it is installed. Abort."
   exit 1
fi
$CLPPLUS -nw -s /nolog <<EOF
SET ECHO OFF
CONNECT $DB_USER/$DB_PWD@$DB_HOST:$DB_LSNRPORT/$DB_NAME
select current timestamp from sysibm.sysdummy1;
EXIT
EOF

Starting the script and clpplus ignores SET ECHO OFF, still
shows a CONNECT command displaying user password.

$ ksh ./start_pm_job.ksh
SET ECHO OFF
SET LINES 200
SET PAGES 50000
SET FEEDBACK OFF
SET HEADING OFF
CONNECT db2inst1/123@localhost:50000/AEIOU
select current timestamp from sysibm.sysdummy1;
2013-01-29 19:10:19.863112
EXIT
$              "

It should disables the display of commands and their output.
