Problem IC96280 | Status: Geschlossen |
DIFFERENT BEHAVIOUR IN DB2 WHEN USING ORACLE SYNTAX "CONNECT BY NOCYCLE LEVEL"
Produkt: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / A10 - DB2
Problembeschreibung:
An example SQL: ---------------------------------------------------------------- SELECT LEVEL FROM DUAL CONNECT BY NOCYCLE LEVEL <= 10 ---------------------------------------------------------------- Since the virtual table DUAL has 1 row, the intermediate result table Hn+1 would return the same row as the one that is already in the hierarchical path. According to the documentation, the NOCYCLE keyword will not include the repeated row. This is an intended behaviour in DB2, which is different from Oracle behaviour.
