A memory leak in the application heap may occur executing a query referencing column-based data. Various symptoms may occur relating to excessive memory usage. The memory is released when the related connection terminates, as the application heap is freed. MON_GET_MEMORY_POOL or other memory monitoring tools may show growing and/or excessive memory usage for an application heap. "db2pd -alldbs -memblocks appl 1" may show a high number of blocks with a File identifier of 190174346 PoolID PoolName BlkAge Size(Bytes) I LOC File 1 apph 1743 128 0 1534 190174346 1 apph 12 128 0 1559 190174346 | |
