product: | |
IBM IDS ENTRP E / 5724L2304 / B15 - IDS 11.50
Problem description: | |
Running an onstat -P command on a large instance can hang the instance and lead to blocking the OS. IDS tries to allocate memory for the onstat -P based on the buffer size that can lead to hangs in memory calls on the system.

Local Fix: | |
Solution | |
This fix reduces the CPU usage for "onstat -P" and now it should return back much sooner. It should not take more than a couple of minutes on Windows Server 2003. The problem is not seen on Windows Server 2008 systems.
