DB2 - Problem description

SQL30081 RC= 10047 WHILE CONNECTING TO DATABASE.

Problem description:
Sometimes, connection to the databases (on remote system) from 
Windows client fails with sqlcode SQL30081 rc = 10047 (An 
address incompatible with the requested protocol was used.) 
 
SQL30081N  A communication error has been detected. 
Communication 
protocol being used: "TCP/IP".  Communication API being used: 
"SOCKETS". 
 
Location where the error was detected: 
".............................".  Communication 
function detecting the error: "getnameinfo".  Protocol specific 
error 
code(s): "10047", "*", "*".  SQLSTATE=08001
Problem Summary:
Users Affected: All user prior to DB2 Version 97 Fix Pack 1. 
Problem Description: SQL30081 RC= 10047 WHILE CONNECTING TO 
DATABASE. 
 
Problem was first fixed in DB2 Version 97 Fix Pack 1.
