DB2 - Problem description

Problem IC61965 Status: Closed

OLEDB DRIVER RETURNS CLI0100E ON WINDOWS 64-BIT PLATFORM

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description:
An OLE DB application using the IBMDADB2 provider on a Windows
64-bit platform may receive a CLI0100E - "Wrong Number of
Parameters" errors if executing a statement with parameter
markers.
.
This problem will happen despite the fact that the application
properly bound a parameter marker to the statement.
Problem Summary:
Users Affected: DB2 OLE DB users running on Windows 64-bit
Problem Description: OLE DB applications receiving CLI0100E
 errors on Windows 64-bit platforms.
Local Fix:
Use either an ODBC datasource, or either the ODBC.NET or DB2.NET
data provider if running a .NET application. This problem
will not happen in a 32-bit environment.
.
The db2cli.ini keyword DEFERREDPREPARE=0 will also workaround
the problem, but may cause a slight performance degradation.
