DB2 - Problem description

DB2LDCFG - CONFIGURE LDAP ENVIRONMENT UTILITY IS FAILING IN DB2 FOR ODBC
AND CLI DRIVER

Problem description:
db2ldcfg utility Configures the Lightweight Directory Access 
Protocol (LDAP) user distinguished name (DN) and password for 
the current logon user in an LDAP environment using an IBM LDAP 
client. In case of DB2 for CLI and ODBC driver, the execution 
ofthis utility gives error of missing library file. Following 
error message is displayed when the utility is run from 
commandprompt. 
 
     <CLI DRIVER INSTALL ROOT>/db2_cli_odbc_driver/clidriver/bin 
$   db2ldcfg 
   Error message: 
  exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program db2ldcfg because of the 
 following errors: 
0509-150 Dependent module libdb2osse_db2.a(shr_64.o) could not 
be loaded. 
0509-022 Cannot load module libdb2osse_db2.a(shr_64.o). 
0509-026 System error: A file or directory in the path name 
doesnot exist. 
 
 
USERS AFFECTED:  DB2 for CLI and ODBC driver on non windows 
platform like Linux, Unix, Solaris platforms at service levels 
from Version V9.5GA through Version V95fp5 and Cobra Base 
release are vulnerable
Problem Summary:

Local Fix:
Adding libdb2osse_db2.a and libdb2osse.a in lib folder of 
clidriver fixes this 
error. Files libdb2osse_db2.a  and nd libdb2osse.a are available 
in sqllib/lib folder 
of normal DB2 installation. These files can be copied to 
clidriver/lib folder of of DB2 for CLI and ODBC driver.
