DB2 - Problem description
Problem IC62322 | Status: Closed |
MOUNTV95_STOP.KSH CANNOT OFFLINE MOUNT RESOURCE ON AIX
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description: | |
On Aix, with multiple filesystems on a machine, the mount may not be able to offline and the resource becomes 'Stuck Online'. If the mount monitor interval is longer, the chances of the 'Stuck Online' state occurring is lower. This is because the mountV95_stop.ksh script unmounts the filesystem, and tries to varyoff the vg if all other mounts in that vg are unmounted. When mountV95_monitor.ksh runs during the stop and, if it sees the fs unmouned but the vg is online, it will remount the filesystem. This creates a race condition where sometimes mounts can't be offline and the resource becomesStuckOnline.
