DB2 - Problem description
Problem IC62413 | Status: Closed |
SYSTEM APPLICATIONS NEED FULL AUTHORITY WITHIN THE DATABASE
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description: | |
Traditionally system applications have been running with DBADM authority. There are some operations such as SELECT/UPDATE/DELETE/INSERT which no longer fall within the scope of a DBADM as of DB2 V9.7. With this fix system applications will no longer receive authorization errors, when trying to access tables in the database. An example of such a system application is the stmm daemon which will fail if running as an authid with insufficient authorizations.
