DB2 WG OR EXPRESS EDITIONS DON'T TAKE THE LICENSING RESTRICTIONS INTO AN ACCOUNT
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description: | |
The problem affects only DB2 Working Group or Express editions and doesn't affect the Enterprise edition. Also, the problem appears only on Windows or Linux Intel compatible architectures. When the database manager makes the internal tuning decisions based on the number of the presenting hardware cores, it fails to take into an account the license limitations related to the core numbers. As a result, the suggested tuning is not optimal and the overall performance of the databases might be affected.
