DB2 - Problem description

Problem IC64048 Status: Closed

INSTALLING VIA RSP FILE WITH CLIENT_IMPORT_PROFILE = DB2DBS.SPF ERROR
OCCURS.

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description:
While installing db2 via response file with 
CLIENT_IMPORT_PROFILE  = db2dbs.spf 
problem occurs with following message 
 
ERROR:A Response file error occurred. The value "db2dbs.spf" 
is not valid for the keyword "DB2.CLIENT_IMPORT_PROFILE". 
 
Reason: 
 
The cause of this problem is the rsp file is copied to the 
%temp% directory, so that the installer will have no problem to 
open it even the "original" rsp file is on a network drive. 
However, the client profile file to be imported is still in it 
"original" path.
Problem Summary:
SILENT INSTALL OF RTCL FAILS WITH CLIENT_IMPORT_PROFILE = 
<clientProfile> IN ITS RESPONSE FILE.
Local Fix:
To specify the full path for the client_import_profile

Solution
This is incorporated in v9.7 fp1  and later releases.
Workaround
client profile to be imported  for the response file keyword: 
CLIENT_IMPORT_PROFILE.
