Problem IC64157 Status: Closed

RESULTS IN ERROR 14001 WHEN USING 32-BIT ODBC DRIVER

product:
DB2 CONNECT / DB2CONNCT / 970 - DB2
Problem description:
After installing the 64-bit Data Server Driver packages on
64-bit Windows operating systems, attempts to use the 32-bit
ODBC driver fail with the error message:

"The setup routines for the IBM DB2 ODBC DRIVER - IBMDBCLI ODBC
driver could not be loaded due to system error code 14001."

This error occurs because the 64-bit installation is missing the
following manifest files which are included with the 32-bit
build of the installer:

IBM.DB2.CLI.manifest
IBM.DB2.APP.manifest
IBM.DB2.SEC.manifest
IBM.DB2.ODBCH.manifest
IBM.DB2.ODBC.manifest
IBM.DB2.LDAPM.manifest
IBM.DB2.LDAP.manifest

Note that this applies only to the installation of the IBM Data
Server Driver and not to either the IBM Data Server Client or
IBM Data Server Runtime Client.

Products affected:

    * IBM Data Server Driver for ODBC and CLI
    * IBM Data Server Driver for ODBC, CLI, .NET and Open Source
Problem Summary:
64-BIT DATA SERVER DRIVER INSTALLER IS MISSING 32-BIT MANIFEST
FILES, RESULTS IN ERROR 14001 WHEN USING 32-BIT ODBC DRIVER
Local Fix:
The 14001 error can be resolved by copying the missing manifest

Files\IBM\IBM DATA SERVER DRIVER\bin to the same path in the
64-bit product installation.
