DB2 - Problem description

Problem IC64986 Status: Closed

GENERATING AN EXPLAIN OF A QUERY MIGHT RETURN EXP0021W IN SPATIAL ENABLED
ENVIRONMENT.

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 950 - DB2
Problem description:
Generating an EXPLAIN of a query might return the following
warning messages in spatial enabled environment.

EXP0021W Table column has no statistics. The column <column
name of spatial coumn> of table
"<schema> "."<table name>" has not had runstats run on it.
This can lead to poor cardinality and predicate filtering
estimates.

This is due to DB2 doesn't collect the statistics for the
spatial extender column. DB2 optimizer should block above
warning message for spatial extender column
