Problem IC65141 | Status: Closed |
INDEX REORG MONITORING MAY CAUSE INDEX REORG TO TRAP
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description: | |
Index reorg monitoring code may reference an uninitialized pointer during reorg causing it to trap. The pointer in question, however, will almost always be initialized during reorg; therefore the probability of this failure is fairy low.
Problem Summary: | |
The problem has been corrected by using a different locking method which ensures the pointer is valid.
