Problem IC65553 | Status: Closed |
INCREMENTAL BACKUPS CAN CONTAIN TOO MANY PAGES AFTER MIGRATION FROM 9.5 AND PRIOR.
product: | |
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description: | |
Incremental database backups can contain too many pages after migration from V9.5 and prior. In V9.7 the page header has changed to support 8 byte LSNs. An incremental backup would not take this into account and might backup additionally old style pages that were not changed since last full backup. DB2 will update the page headers to the new V9.7 style step by step when changing a page during normal work. Databases that were migrated using backup in old version and restore in V9.7 are not affected.
