DB2 - Problem description

Problem IC66029 Status: Closed

LOAD FROM CURSOR MIGHT TRAP IF LOADING INTO FEWER COLUMNS THAN TOTAL
NUMBER OF TARGET TABLE COLUMNS

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 970 - DB2
Problem description:
This problem can occur during a load from cursor command such as

db2 load from C1 of cursor replace into T1(COL1, COL4 )

If the number of columns specified for the target table is fewer
than the total number of columns on the target table, the load
command might trap with stack trace like the following:

...
sqluCrossCheckColumnCompatibility
sqluCrossCheckFormatHeader
sqluCCrossInfo20iProcessFormatHeader
sqluCCrossInfo11iInitialize
sqluPerformCatalogTasks
sqlu_register_table_load
...

(IBM personnels analyzing the trap for line of code will find
that it traps on a line referencing
pTargetCodepages[iTargetArrayOffset] )
