DB2 - Problem description

Problem IC66170 Status: Closed

CREATING A PACKAGE WHEN CONECTING FROM ISERIES TO A DB2 LUW DATABASE
FAILS WITH MESSAGE SQL9004

product:
DB2 FOR LUW / DB2FORLUW / 950 - DB2
Problem description:
When connected to a DB2 for Linux, Unix and Windows database
V9.5 FP5, the iSeries client gets the error message SQL9004
("Create of SQL package failed."). DDM trace of this scenario
shows that the attempt to create a package failed because of a
DRDA protocol error (sqlcode -30020) detected by the iSeries
client while it was parsing the reply received from the DB2 LUW
server.
