CREATING A PACKAGE WHEN CONECTING FROM ISERIES TO A DB2 LUW DATABASE FAILS
WITH MESSAGE SQL9004

Problem description:
When connected to a DB2 for Linux, Unix and Windows database 
V9.7 FP1, the iSeries client gets the error message SQL9004 
("Create of SQL package failed."). DDM trace of this scenario 
shows that the attempt to create a package failed because of a 
DRDA protocol error (sqlcode -30020) detected by the iSeries 
client while it was parsing the reply received from the DB2 LUW 
server.

Solution
In this scenario there is an attempt to create a package that
