DB2 - Problem description

WHEN EXPLAIN MODE IS SET AND SERVEROUTPUT ON,ALL COMMANDS INCLUD ING SET
CURRENT EXPLAIN MODE USING CLP RESULTS IN ENDLESS LOOP

Problem description:
Setting the environment variable SERVEROUTPUT to ON, and then 
setting the explain mode to expalin will cause an endless loop 
of newlines. 
 
Reproduction: 
 
db2 set serveroutput on 
db2 set current explain mode explain 
The moment  the above is executed, the screen will go into an 
endless loop. 
Transaction log becomes full 
Nothing will run for the session 
CTRL C will stop the loop
