Problem description: | |
When trying to change APPGROUP_MEM_SZ to more than 524287, the following error messages are reported in db2diag.log: 2010-02-17-15.35.17.046751-360 I1672A958 LEVEL: Severe PID : 4595730 TID : 1 PROC : db2agent (CRD_CNTG) 130 INSTANCE: db2bofa1 NODE : 130 APPHDL : 130-51 APPID: *N130.db2bofa1.100217213453 AUTHID : DB2BOFA1 FUNCTION: DB2 UDB, base sys utilities, sqleAllocateAppGroup, probe:21 MESSAGE : Failed to allocate App Ctl Shr Mem Set with following error. Reduce APPGROUP_MEM_SZ. On 32bit AIX, this problem may also happen when the DB memory set is too big that it spills over to the APPGROUP memory address. Try reducing the DB memory size by using smaller bufferpool(s), or reducing the values for the database configuration parameters that affect the size of the DB memory such as DBHEAP, CATALOGCACHE_SZ, LOCKLIST, PCKCACHESZ, etc...
