DB2 - Problem description

DB2_INSTALL GIVES INCORRECT INFORMATION FOR THE BASE PRODUCT WHILE
TRYING TO INSTALL Query Patroller

Problem description:
In DB2 V9.1, if you try to install QP without having DB2 ESE, 
WSE or EXP, you will get an incorrect error, displaying that you 
need to install DB2 RTCL or CLIENT. If you have either of these 
products installed and then you try to install QP again, you 
will get a major error. 
 
e.g. Having no DB2 products installed 
 
DB2 Query Patroller requires one of the following products: 
DB2 Runtime Client,  DB2 Client.  Install one of these products, 
version 9, before installing DB2 Query Patroller. 
 
 
A major error occurred while installing "DB2 Query Patroller" on 
this computer. The installation can not continue. If the problem 
 
persists contact your technical service representative. 
 
 
For more information see the DB2 installation log at 
"/tmp/db2_install.log.7945".

The fix is available in DB2 V9.1 Fix Pack 9. 
 
Correct message is shown in the above case as follows, when 
trying to install QP when ESE, WSE or EXP doesn't exist:: 
 
Query Patroller server requires one of the following products: 
 DB2 
Enterprise Server Edition,  DB2 Workgroup Server Edition. 
Install one of 
these products, version 9, before installing Query Patroller 
server.
