DB2 - Problem description

Problem IC66956 Status: Closed

DB2 CLP CAN HANG OR RETURNS AN ERROR, WHEN ONE DB2 CLP OUPUT IS PIPED INTO
A SECOND DB2 CLP COMMAND

Problem description:
Shell comamnds, where the ouput from one DB2 CLP is piped into 
the next DB2 CLP, can hang or return an error. 
 
Example: 
db2 -x "SQL statement" | db2 +p -tv 
 
On AIX, this can lead to a hang of DB2 CLP. 
 
On non AIX platforms, this can return the following error: 
sh: /bin/db2bpq: No such file or directory 
 
DB21007E  End of file reached while reading the command.
